Cisco Network Admission Control (NAC) is implemented with four basic pieces: the NAC Appliance Manager (NAM) web console, which is used to administer NAC; the NAC Appliance Server (NAS), which enforces NAC policies; and the NAC Appliance Agent (NAA) and NAC Web Agent, programs that run on client devices to ensure client compliance with NAC policies. NAC enables centralized enforcement of security, access, and compliance policies throughout your network, wired or wireless.
