As with most enterprise class solutions, a provision is often made to provide very detailed levels of logging for troubleshooting purposes known as debugging. ISE also provides the ability to set each component to log at different levels, including the debug level.
It is never recommended to change any of these settings unless directed by Cisco TAC. Setting components to debug level will have an impact on system performance.
To change the logging level of a component, navigate to Administration > System > Logging > Debug Log Configuration. Click the name of the ISE node that needs to have the log settings modified; the list of components and the current log level settings are displayed, as shown in Figure 22-8.
