From Denise: Brent and I have been working on this book, in one form or another, for ten years! The first iteration was a book of flash cards covering the BSCI, BCMSN, BCRAN, and CIT exams in 2004, with Tim Sammut. In 2008, the exams were BSCI, BCMSN, ISCW, and ONT, and Jay Swan worked with us. Because there were only three exams in the 2010 version of CCNP, Brent and I tackled the book by ourselves, as we have done with this edition. Hopefully, the version you are reading—the fourth iteration—is the best yet. It contains a distillation of the knowledge we’ve gained from the previous ones, as well as working in networking all this time.
