Controllers provide a single point of management to many access points, but many networks have several controllers and require a single point of management for these controllers. Cisco Wireless Control System (WCS) provides this single point by allowing administrators to design, control, and monitor enterprise wireless networks from a central location. Cisco WCS also provides many other features, such as planning and location tracking. WCS is a service installed on Windows or Linux that can be accessed through a web interface.
