Virtual Appliances (vWAAS)
Cisco WAAS is also available as a virtual appliance called vWAAS. This virtual appliance is software that can run on a virtualization platform such as VMware ESX and ESXi hypervisor, Cisco Unified Computing System x86 servers, Unified Computing System E-series server modules, Cisco ISR Services-Ready Engine (SRE), and on any cloud platform. vWAAS is a cloud-ready WAN optimization solution that accelerates applications delivery from private and virtual private cloud infrastructure using policy-based on-demand orchestration.
