Cisco Wide Area Application Services (WAAS) is a solution designed to minimize unnecessary bandwidth usage and to accelerate application performance across the WAN. This product enables you to consolidate services in a data center to gain benefits of a centralized model while providing LAN-like performance to the remote users. The WAAS solution is available in different form factors, which scale from small offices to large data centers; this includes appliances, router modules, and software components.
