The WAAS appliances enable you to configure a virtual blade, which lets you add services running in their own operating environments to your WAAS system. For example, you could configure a virtual blade in a WAVE device to run Windows services such as Print Services, Active Directory Services, DNS, and DHCP Services. A WAAS uses KVM hypervisor to emulate hardware environment within your WAVE device where you can install an operating system and applications to work with your WAAS system and provide additional services for the users on your network.
