Remote Management

ACE can be managed remotely using Telnet or SSH. However, a management policy must be defined to allow this communication. You can manage ACE on a per context basis. It means that a separate administrator can be assigned to each virtual context of the ACE. The remote access to the ACE can be enabled through the use of class maps, policy maps, and service policies.

Image Class map: Provides the criteria to allow management traffic; for example, permit management protocols such as SSH, Telnet, or ICMP. You can also use the IP address as criteria in the class map.
