Server Pools

These server pools can be populated manually or automatically. Typically, such server pools are grouped together based on either common hardware configurations or SLA boundaries. It is important to understand that a server can be part of multiple pools; a Cisco UCS service profile that associates itself to the blade owns that blade, regardless of which pool that server resides in.

A Cisco UCS service profile or template can be associated with a server pool rather than manually assigning it to a blade or rackmount server.
