Cisco UCS I/O Module and Fabric Interconnect Connectivity
The number of links and connectivity mode from the I/O module to Fabric Interconnects, also known as fabric ports, determines the total available bandwidth per blade and the oversubscription ratio at the fabric link level. The second-generation Cisco UCS 2200 series Fabric Extenders support 1/2/4/8 physical links, each at 10 GbE (at the time of writing this chapter). Figure 13-37 shows the blade server oversubscription at the I/O module level.
