Cisco UCS Platform Emulator
The UCS Platform Emulator is a version of the Cisco UCS Manager that runs on a hypervisor as a virtual machine. As the name states, it’s an emulator; therefore, it does not require actual UCS hardware. It is ideal for training IT administrators, for demonstrations, and for customer hardware setup emulation. One of its key capabilities is that it consists of the UCS XML API that you can interact with without the requirement of actual hardware. The latest version of this software allows testing firmware upgrades, too, and it’s available in the Cisco Developer Network.
