Cisco MDS 9000 NX-OS incorporates many management features that facilitate effective management of growing storage environments with existing resources. Cisco fabric services simplify SAN provisioning by automatically distributing configuration information to all switches in a storage network. Distributed device alias services provide fabricwide alias names for host bus adapters (HBA), storage devices, and switch ports, eliminating the need to reenter names when devices are moved.
