Configuration and Software-Image Management
The CiscoWorks solution is a commonly used suite of tools for a wide range of Cisco devices such as IP switches, routers, and wireless devices. The Cisco MDS 9000 NX-OS open API allows the CiscoWorks Resource Manager Essentials (RME) application to provide centralized Cisco MDS 9000 family configuration management, software-image management, intelligent system log (syslog) management, and inventory management. The open API also helps CiscoWorks Device Fault Manager (DFM) monitor Cisco MDS 9000 family device health, such as supervisor memory and processor utilization. CiscoWorks DFM can also monitor the health of important components such as fans, power supplies, and temperature.
