Perform Initial Setup
When Nexus switches are shipped from the factory, there is no default configuration on these switches. Therefore, when you power on the switch the first time, it goes into an initial setup mode. This initial setup mode indicates that the switch is unable to find the configuration file at the startup; therefore, this initial setup mode is also called startup configuration mode.
