Unicast-Enabled Transport Infrastructure
OTV can be deployed with a unicast-only transport infrastructure; the unicast deployment of OTV is used when a multicast-enabled transport infrastructure is not an option. The OTV control plane over unicast transport infrastructure works in the same way the multicast transport works. The only difference is that each OTV edge device must create a copy of the control plane packet and send it to each remote OTV edge device.
