Virtual Port Channel Plus
A virtual port channel plus (vPC+) enables a classical Ethernet (CE) vPC domain and Cisco FabricPath to interoperate. In a FabricPath network, the Layer 2 MAC addresses are learned only by the edge switches. The learning consists of mapping the Layer 2 MAC address to a switch ID, and it is performed in the data plane. In a vPC configuration, a dual-connected host can send a packet into the FabricPath network from two edge switches.
