Table G-75 contains the important binary calculations for finding the subnet number and subnet broadcast address. To calculate the subnet number, perform a Boolean AND on the address and mask. To find the broadcast address for this subnet, change all the host bits to binary 1s in the subnet number. The host bits are in bold print in the table.
