Chapter 12

1. B and C. To change a switch’s bridge ID value you can use the root primary or secondary command or hard code this value with the priority command.

2. A. You can tell by looking at the priority and sys-id-ext output. The sys-id-ext is always the VLAN number, which in this case is 1.

3. A and D. Hard code a cost of 2, or using the default cost would also be 2 because it is a 10 Gbps interface.

4. D. To add interfaces to a PortChannel you must use the channel-group (x) command under the interfaces to add them to the PortChannel.

5. B. The switch will choose the interface with the lowest root cost as its root port.

6. A and D. Both commands will provide output that lists a nonroot switch’s root cost.
