4.1. Basic PIX Configuration (3 points)

  1. Configure host name PIX with inside/outside IP address, as shown in Figure 6-1.

  2. Configure RIP for the inside interface using MD5 authentication.

  3. Configure RIP to advertise the default route to inside (R1) but not the outside.

  4. Do not configure ACL on interface(s); use conduits instead.

  5. Configure PAT translation to 164.15.4.254 for all networks behind PIX to be able to ping any networks outside the PIX.

  6. Configure static NAT translation for R1 FastEthernet0/0—192.168.3.1 to 164.15.4.10 for BGP peering. Configure conduit(s) to permit BGP connection from R2 and R3 only.

  7. Configure static NAT translation for Loopback1 of R1 to itself.

  8. Configure a static default route on PIX. ...
