Using show and debug Commands

IS-IS has a wide selection of show and debug commands that are available for monitoring and troubleshooting purposes. Because the display of show commands can give you a lot of information, IS-IS includes a useful command to make these displays easier to read when your IS-IS is running in multi-area mode. Use the following command to enable this feature:

R1(config)#isis display delimiter [return
						cnt | char
						cnt]

For example, the following command causes information about individual areas to be separated by 14 dashes (-) in the display:

R1#isis display delimiter - 14
