Setting IS-IS Optional Parameters
IS-IS offers many parameters that you can customize to fit your particular networking needs. These parameters include the following:
Setting the advertised hello interval to refine the time between hellos
Setting the advertised CSNP interval to determine when database synchronization takes place
Setting the retransmission interval in the case of lost LSPs
Setting the LSP transmission interval to adjust the time between successive LSP transmissions
