Setting IS-IS Optional Parameters

IS-IS offers many parameters that you can customize to fit your particular networking needs. These parameters include the following:

• Setting the advertised hello interval to refine the time between hellos

• Setting the advertised CSNP interval to determine when database synchronization takes place

• Setting the retransmission interval in the case of lost LSPs

• Setting the LSP transmission interval to adjust the time between successive LSP transmissions
