A2: OSPF transmits periodic hellos and LSAs necessary to maintain neighbor relationships and accurate link-state databases. This adds unnecessary connection costs to your ISDN network. OSPF demand circuit solves this problem by suppressing these advertisements until a topological change has occurred. Then and only then can the routing updates be used to initiate an ISDN call.
