ISDN Switch Types

Matching the ISDN switch type to the one your service provider uses is one of the most important steps you will complete in your configuration of ISDN. If your switch type does not match, your link will either fail to operate or will operate in an unstable manner. Currently, the ISDN interface supports 19 different ISDN switch types. Table C-1 lists the most common switch types you are likely to encounter when working with Cisco ISDN equipment in North America.
