Part III: Routing Fundamentals
This part of the text deals with one of five overall sections you must master for the ICND1 exam. There are three chapters total that make up Part 3. These three chapters, taken as a whole, represent 25 percent of the exam questions you face in your exam. This means that the Routing Fundamentals area is the second most important section of the five overall sections that you deal with on your testing day!
Here you begin with a high-level overview of routing concepts, but then quickly move into details of router configurations, including inter-VLAN routing, static routing, and RIP for dynamic routing. Part 3 includes the following chapters:
