  1. A, D, E, G. To send mail, the protocol SMTP is used at the Application layer. SMTP uses TCP at the Transport layer to create a reliable virtual circuit. IP is used at the Network layer to provide routing, and Ethernet is the typical Network Access (LAN) connection type. Although ARP can be used at the Network layer, it is not mandatory because the destination MAC address may already be known.
