The previous chapters of this book focused on Multiprotocol Label Switching virtual private network (MPLS VPN) services within one domain where all VPN customers are connected to one autonomous system (AS). This chapter, in contrast, covers the design options and considerations of service providers that need to interconnect different autonomous systems and offer end-to-end services for multiple VPN and non-VPN customers (including native IP, L2VPN, and L3VPN).
