Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) A policy that states what user responsibilities are with respect to accessing and using information resources within the organization.
Access Control List (ACL) An enumeration of permissions, by group or account, associated with a specific object.
Access Point (AP) The wireless interface connection to a wired network.
Active Directory (AD) A Microsoft Windows technology using a directory service to manage system resources.
