Setting Text Shadows

CSS2 also provides a text-shadow property that specifies that text be displayed with a shadow. No current browser (Internet Explorer 5/5.5, Netscape 6, or Opera 5) supports this property. When (and if) it is supported, you'll be able to set shadow effects for text, which might be handy, for instance, when creating callouts that need to be visible against both light and dark backgrounds.

For more information on how to set text shadows, once they are supported in current browsers, see the section, “Text shadows: the 'text-shadow' property,” in the W3C's CSS2 specification at http://www.w3.org/TR/REC-CSS2/text.html#text-shadow-props.
