YOU KNOW THE TYPE

Just as there are different types of people, there are certainly different types of cartoon characters! There’s the “cute” type, the “tough” type, the “dumpy” type, the “goofy” type, and so on. And each character type is made up of certain elements that suggest a specific personality—for example, the “dumpy” type has a rounded, bulbous body, and the “tough” type takes on a top-heavy bean shape. Think about what personality you want your character to have, and then create a body type that goes with it.
