REWARD GOOD PERFORMANCE AND NOTHING ELSE

Make it very clear to everyone you manage exactly what performance you need and therefore will reward. And try to reward people when they deliver results—no sooner, no later. Immediate rewards are the most effective because there can be no doubt about the reason for the rewards; this provides a greater sense of control and a higher level of reinforcement. Finally, remember that different people are motivated by different incentives; so when people perform, try to give them rewards they will value highly.
