Appendix C: Resources
When it comes to learning photography, there’s never been more information and resources available. The immediate feedback of digital capture and elimination of consumable expenses, like film and processing, make it easy to keep practicing and developing new skills. Online learning sites, how-to DVDs by top pros, iPad apps, books, workshops, magazines, and trade shows all help put high-quality, reasonably priced photographic education within the reach of just about everyone.
For this appendix, I pulled together the best of the best here for you. These are the resources that have helped me grow as photographer, craftsman, and businessperson. I continue to turn to these resources daily to keep learning, improving, and striving to be the best I can be. In this appendix, you find my favorite resources to help you learn more about using the Canon Speedlite System, lighting, posing, working with handheld flashes, starting and maintaining a business, and improving your photography in general. I include my favorite websites, workshops, iPad apps, trade shows, trade associations, DVDs, books, and equipment.
