Leaving Auto Mode Behind

Your camera has a plethora of features designed to enable you to capture stunning images. You can shoot images continuously at a rate of 4 frames per second (fps), which is great for action photography. Your camera also has modes that take you way beyond point-and-shoot photography. When you take photographs with either Aperture Priority (Av) or Shutter Priority (Tv) mode, you supply one part of the exposure equation, and your SL1/100D supplies the other part. Plus, you can do all sorts of things to hedge your bet to make sure you get stellar photos from your camera. For example, you can use exposure compensation when you need to tweak the exposure the camera meters. You can also bracket exposure and tweak the white balance.
