ONLINE SOURCES FOR BUYING CANON EQUIPMENT

There's a tremendous Canon user community to join, which you can participate in at virtually any level. While much of it happens online, Canon photographers have a tacit camaraderie worldwide. For example, while photographing the 2007 Pan American Games in Rio de Janeiro, I had an hour-long discussion with another agency photographer about our cameras, how they were performing, how they were dealing with some of the lighting challenges we had there, and the types of lenses we were using to shoot the same subjects. You'll find you can garner a world of information by sharing your experiences with others, whether you're at a national photography show, on the Web, or at a local event. Almost like Harley-Davidson riders are about their bikes, few photographers are as die-hard fanatics about their gear as Canon owners. This appendix offers you a quick overview of some of my favorite Canon and photography resources.
