Isolating Your Subject

It’s easy to get so wrapped up in taking a photograph that you lose focus on what’s behind your subject. A perfectly good scene can be ruined by a distracting background. When setting up to take a shot, ask yourself if there are any distractions in the scene that pull attention away from your subject. If the answer is yes, then try to isolate your subject so it fills more of your frame (Figure 8.3).
