Light

Photography, at its core, is about capturing light. You can learn to use light to creatively highlight your subject and create more compelling images (Figure 8.23). Rather than trying to properly expose for all the light in a given scene, use the Spot metering mode and adjust your exposure to capture only certain spectrums of light (Figure 8.24).
