APPENDIX BACADEMIC PAPERS ON CANDLESTICKS

I have read many papers on candlesticks and, in particular, candle patterns. Below is a list of some of them if you want to further your study. I would suggest, however, that you treat them with a jaundiced eye because academics rarely get outside their sterile laboratory of modern finance (“Ivory Tower”) and often take things out of context. An example is the identification of candle patterns and not considering the trend of the market at the time. This is just plain wrong in my opinion.
