6.1 Introduction

The CAD hardware discussed in Chapter 5 would be useless without the software to support it. This chapter discusses some of the issues and methods related to the software and accompanying data base for interactive computer graphics and computer-aided design. A more complete coverage of this topic is available in several of the references listed at the end of the chapter.
