So far, you have learned about the installation of cables and the termination process. In today's cabling installation, the cables you install into the walls and ceilings are usually terminated at either punch-down blocks or patch panels and wall outlets. In some cases (as with patch cables, for example), you may need to put a connector on the end of a piece of cable.
