There are many generic collections in .NET, and the list has grown over time. This appendix covers the most important generic collection interfaces and classes to know about. There are additional nongeneric collections in System.Collections, System. Collections.Specialized, and System.ComponentModel, but I won’t be covering those here. Likewise I won’t be mentioning the LINQ interfaces, such as ILookup<TKey, TValue>.
