Summary

Microsoft has included a huge amount of functionality for the first release of a platform and product set, and the .NET Framework can be readily used to develop client and server applications.

.NET provides functionality equivalent to that of the J2SE platform but doesn’t yet contain all of the features available with J2EE. The most obvious omission is an equivalent of the full EJB model. This should be addressed with future versions of the .NET software.
