The following Linux operating systems are supported as a deployment target for .NET Core:

- Ubuntu 14.04, 16.04
- Linux Mint 17
- Debian 8.2
- Fedora 23
- CentOS 7.1
- Oracle Linux 7.1
- openSUSE 13.2
If you want to choose a Linux operating systems that supports:
- Visual Studio Code for development
- SQL Server 2016 for an RDBMS
- .NET Core for a platform
Then, you have the following two choices:
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 7.12
- Ubuntu 16.04
