There are many situations where business analytics can and should be taken further
than it is in practice. Too often, analysts leave their conclusions and analyses in
the relatively murky statistical layer, which – even if they present the conclusions
in well-designed graphs or the like – leave managers unsure of the real strategic
and financial implications. Extrapolating the findings to crucial outcomes like return
on investment can aid significantly in bridging gaps between management and analytics.
