Project Management Stages

As mentioned earlier, four major stages are involved in delivering the results of a whole project, a phase of a process renewal project, or even a small deliverable. Each concept applies to everything deliverable and everyone delivering or accepting:

  • Initiating (defining the work)

  • Planning (planning the work)

  • Controlling and Improving (working the plan)

  • Accepting (accepting the work)
