Chapter 16 concludes our review of the investment value section by further exploring the field of outcomes management and measurement. The financial ratios that were discussed in chapter 15 are actually valid examples of this topic; in this chapter, however, we extend our discussion to qualitative and nonfiscal quantitative measurements as well.

Thus, in this chapter, we discuss how entrepreneurs can produce such data and incorporate them into dashboard reports for management purposes. We also describe a pair of methodologies for developing such reports: one emphasizing the process chain of the organization and another emphasizing the business plan of the entity.
