Okay, now you know the basics. You've seen that business intelligence solutions can harness all that data you've kept over the years on your lemonade stand, bring it together, and turn them into something useful. But how?

The answer is you'll have to make those BI tools work for you. And in order to do that, you'd better understand what they are, and what they can and can't do.

First is the obvious stuff: reports. Pulling interesting data out and re-assembling it in ways you hadn't thought of. Like working out how the profit margin per cup of lemonade sold varies with the high temperature. Then you'll learn about other tools that help you get the most out of that data, like dashboards and scorecards that let you know how your stand is doing at a glance, calculating reams of data behind the scenes to give you a simple thumbs-up or thumbs-down.
