Keeping the Enthusiasm Going

After you’ve introduced your staff to BC and encouraged them through the initial stages, you need to maintain their enthusiasm. The best way is to help them own responsibility for the continuation of the business. Here are some ideas:

check.png Instigate a vigilant and engaging review process, to keep staff thinking on their feet and invested in the progress.

check.png Make BC considerations an integral part of every new project or enterprise.

check.png Get staff to identify for themselves the business assurance measures they’d introduce as a safeguard to any new process or activity.

Don’t forget your induction pack for new staff, and make sure that new people introduced to your firm accept all your built-in BC measures as part of the way that the organisation works. Appoint an existing member of staff to mentor new staff in all things BC, and don’t dismiss new continuity ideas that newcomers bring with them.
