A great workforce is essential to running any firm. Your team is the foundation of your business and provides the groundwork for your business continuity (BC). Your staff members understand the everyday working of your business, grasp the realities of what you do and appreciate the efforts that go into maintaining the production of your critical business processes and activities. In some respects they probably know your organisation better than you do; they may well have more interaction and stronger relationships with your customers and suppliers on a day-to-day basis.

You need your staff to help maintain the continuity of your business and develop the culture throughout your company so they can be on call and ready to go if things go wrong. To do so, they need to be fully aware and on board with your BC requirements and plans, and know their roles and responsibilities within them.
