Securing the Device
In certain circumstances you have more control over what types of devices have access to your app. An APK does not necessarily have to be published on an app store. It can be distributed with a corporation or enterprise and never see Google Play. Certain devices can also be encrypted and make it a lot harder for someone to gain access to the data and files even if they have physical access to the device.
