Chapter 3. A Tour of Your New Website

Now that you have installed your homepage and have carefully explored it, we can take a look at the result together. At first glance, these pages look a bit confusing. In principle, they are divided into a front end (your actual website) and a back end (the administration view of your website). Customers and web surfers see the front end; the back end is only accessible by co-workers and/or administrators.

Front End

You can see right away that the sample website illustrates a lot of the functions that Joomla! has to offer, giving you a good overview of Joomla!'s capability.
