What's Ahead

This chapter has focused on the Compact Framework features and techniques that architects and developers can use to globalize and localize their applications to make them world ready. These include localizing data, such as date and time values, strings, and currency, as well as creating localized resource files. In the next two chapters we'll look at two other considerations for building applications on the Compact Framework: security and deployment options.
